Symbolising harmony and joy, bells have often been associated with Christmas time and small bells have been used to decorated trees and front doors throughout the world. Continuing the tradition, Georg Jensen has elevated the simple bell to a precious object of timeless beauty with this 18 karat gold plated version, etched with a delicate ice flower as a finishing touch. Hanging on a Christmas tree, branch or even on a door, it will herald many happy holidays for years to come.Danish born designer Sanne Lund Traberg wished to subtly reference Georg Jensen’s Art Nouveau heritage in her Christmas Collectibles but also give them a contemporary twist. Using as inspiration Karl Blossfeldt’s beautiful photographs of flowers, taken in the early part of the 20th Century, she incorporated delicate floral motifs that show a love of nature that feels totally modern. The results are a charming addition to Georg Jensen’s highly collectable Christmas decorations.The bell is made from brass and then plated with 18 karat gold in Georg Jensen’s own workshop in Denmark. It comes with both a traditional red and seasonal green ribbon.
