Zenith is a Swiss luxury watch manufacturer whose black-toned model of the renewed Pilot watch collection offers a subtle style for the wrist
The Pilot watch collection has been overshadowed by Zenith’s other novelty collections in recent years, but a well-deserved return to the forefront of the watch world took place in April at the Watches & Wonders international watch fair in Geneva.
However, the return to the limelight was done in style, as Zenith presented its renewed pilot watch collection as a three-hand model and, of course, a chronograph. Both models are available in more traditional steel-case versions, as well as black ceramic versions. The size of the case of the three-hand model series is 40 millimeters and 42.5 millimeters for the chronographs.
Common to all watch models is an oversized and therefore easy-to-use crown, the only Pilot text in the world that can be read on dials, scratch-resistant sapphire glasses, quick-release bracelets, and updated automatic movements of Zenith’s legendary high-frequency El Primero movement family with a 60-hour power reserve.
Ceramic Zenith Pilot Automatic
The size of the Zenith Pilot Automatic watch model is the previously mentioned 40 millimeters, which makes it fit nicely on the wrist. The ceramic case is also lightweight, which improves the fit even more. Another practical benefit of ceramic is its scratch resistance, so it’s perfect for watch users looking for and appreciating peace of mind.
Technically, the Zenit Pilot is also in the forefront, because inside it beats at a high frequency of 5 hertz, the latest anti-magnetic version 3620 of the legendary El Primero movement family, from which the timekeeping function has been removed. The quality of the movement is also indicated by the feel of the crown, which is extremely precise.
The Zenith Pilot Automatic comes with two straps with a butterfly clasp; in addition to the black cordura-textured rubber strap in the picture, the watch comes with a similar strap in dark green.
